We're updating the lessons, exercises, design, navigation, and code in the ELC Study Zone. We will be adding more and different materials to the Study Zone. But, we also respect the existing structure, so Study Zone's successful simplicity will remain. With only a few exceptions, exercises will keep their original names and locations. We'll continue to work with Hot Potatoes software to create interesting and engaging English-language exercises for our students at the English Language Centre and for you.
The comments on the Study Zone blog have been great! The feedback and encouragement is valuable and appreciated. We'd like to hear more, especially now that the Upper Beginner (Level 200) Grammar Topics are here. So, if you have questions or problems, or if you find mistakes or something confusing, let us know on the blog. Thanks!
To begin, have a look at the help page to learn about navigating the Study Zone. Then visit the Level 200 — Upper Beginner topics to see some of the updates.

About the Study Zone
The Study Zone is for students of the English Language Centre (ELC) at the University of Victoria. The English-language lessons and practice exercises are created by teachers at the ELC. While the site is designed to support our adult English-language learners, all are welcome to read the lessons and try the exercises.
