Purpose
To increase your awareness of:
- Canadian pre-colonial and colonial history, including pre-contact history, the period of time before Europeans came to what is now known as North America, as well as the time after European contact
- the effects of colonial and neo-colonial processes on the health of Aboriginal peoples and Canadian society, generally (neo-colonial refers to colonial processes that remain part of laws and policies that influence the health care system.)
