Order of Supporting Paragraphs

Space Order

Some writers organize the supporting paragraphs to describe where things are located in relation to the position of other objects. This is space order. In this format the paragraphs are ordered according to their location or position. For example, an essay about travelling in Canada may start in the province of British Columbia in the west and continue east to the province of Newfoundland. This format is best used in a descriptive essay.
