Simple Present or Present Progressive Tense
It is difficult to learn to use the simple present tense and the present progressive tense. It helps to hear people using these tenses. When you hear people using the language, you learn it better. Simple Present
We use the simple present tense to talk about our normal, everyday lives.
We can use adverbs such as usually and often with the simple present tense. These adverbs tell us how often something happens.
I always eat breakfast in the morning.
He usually takes the bus to work.
They sometimes go to the movie theatre.
We also use the simple present tense to talk about things that are always true.
We use the simple present tense to describe the way things are.
Similarly, we use the simple present tense to describe the way we feel, the way we think, and the way we sense things. We also use the present tense to talk about owning things.
